AB InBev Efes still mulls sale of stake in Russian subsidiary
MOSCOW, Jul 4 (PRIME) -- The shareholders of beer brewery AB InBev Efes continue dialogue to finalize the sale of Ab InBev’s non-controlling stake in the Russian subsidiary to Anadolu Efes, President Oriz Durdyev told PRIME on Tuesday.
“Nothing has changed, we are in dialogue to finalize the deal’s conditions. It is unclear how long it will take. This process has no impact on our business in Russia currently, we are working as usual,” he said.
He also said that Russia-made ingredients account for almost 100% of the company’s raw materials, except hops. Previously, it imported hops directly from Czechia, Germany, the U.S., and other countries, but now it has to seek other logistics routes.
“We stand for rebuilding the national hop breeding industry, and we are ready to guarantee purchases if its quality meets our requirements,” he said.
